The good: Beautiful location beside the river. Great decks and plentiful seating. Easy to locate and close to Sylva and Dillsboro. The not so good: The upstairs was clean by maintenance has been neglected. 2 screen doors were ripped. Although the house technically has 2 baths, one is in the basement and only accessible by walking down the deck stairs and going through the basement screened in patio. The basement bath also was not clean, had no towels, no trash can and the shower had no water. We paid for a 2 bath house but all ended up using the tiny upstairs bath. The house is adequate (minus the bath situation), but it is tiny.

Best place to get away and get some R&R. While we didn't catch many fish, that was operator error probably, we saw the resident Eagle several times, deer crossing the river, large blue Herron, it was amazing. I could have deck sat forever. Will be back.

Property was fine. The advertised price was fine, then all the hidden fees almost doubled the cost of the nightly rental. I will not use vrbo or vacasa again and will not recommend to anyone.

Loved the Property!
Very quaint little cabin with an absolutely amazing view of the river. It isn’t entirely up to date which really isn’t a problem for us. The only qualm we had was that the oven was very old and couldn’t cook food properly. It was fine for our short stay, but for longer stays this could prove to be an issue. The coffee maker also isn’t that great, so if you’re an avid coffee drinker, I would suggest bringing your own or using instant coffee. Other than those minor things, the cabin was very clean, quiet, and we had an amazing time! We fished and were able to catch several bass and trout in the river. We will more than likely be back at this location!

Worst experience ever
While staying at this cabin, the electricity went out around 5:30pm on April 8th. I immediately called and told Vacasa about the outage. It was rainy and 39 degrees. We had no heat, no candles, no flashlights, no firewood, and we are in a strange place with no visibility at the bottom of a mountain on the Tuskegee River with two children. After making the phone call to Vacasa I was told they were checking to see if a power outage was in the area and I was originally told there was not and I would receive a call back from the local management team as this was an “urgent” situation and that never happened. My family and I packed our things due to feeling unsafe and not equipped to handle the electricity outage. It was 3 hours and 25 minutes that I got tired of waiting on a call so I called them back. I was then told that because I vacated the property there would be no refund or partial refund due to that and the power outage was beyond their control, although my family and I felt completely unsafe. In order to keep my family safe we began to travel back home to South Carolina which was 4 hours and 36 minutes away. We arrived at our home at 1:08am Easter Sunday. This trip was meant for our family for Easter weekend. I’ve never been so humiliated and stressed by the poor customer service that we received. The home was not even prepped with devices in case of an emergency like this. We even went grocery shopping and our food even in thawed and ruined. Wi-Fi was awful.

No TV at all. There is a dish box but no channels, a dvd player there that I couldnt get to work. Needs a modern day remodel. Decks were nice, close to the river and close to Cherokee and all the attractions/food.

Worth the price!
We had a very nice, relaxing week at the Riverside Cabin, once we found it. No GPS would actually lead us to it and the written directions we received were directing us like we were local; they were directions from two nearby towns and not the interstate. Fortunately we are able to read maps! I spoke to multiple reps from the rental agency and they could not provide help. We received a service call the next evening from someone who could direct us. But we were already there. The rooms are small but good enough for our family of four with two sons aged 12 and 8. The WiFi is VERY spotty so bring lots of games. Satellite tv goes out in a storm. I was hoping for water access to swim in the beautiful river but it moves too quickly and is too deep. We caught one fish the whole week but the grill provided was very clean and so the fish I bought cooked up very nicely. Ultimately it was a very nice vacation; close to Bryson City where we went tubing and rafting, and close to the Pisgah Forest where we went to Sliding Rock and waterfalling. Our dog was allowed and that was a big plus!

Great place but cabin itself needs to be updated. Had electric baseboard heat in bedrooms. Was either on or off. Don't believe thermostats worked. Wall unit electric heat in living room worked correctly but directly behind recliner. I must not have read it didn't have central air.

Relaxing
Overall a very nice and relaxing stay. Very quiet in this area. River and surrounding area was beautiful. Some appliances have mileage but function well. One can tell the coffee maker is the most used...lol. We had it going all the way to the end of our stay. For those wanting to know, there was a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. There were hotel-style complimentary shampoo, conditioner and soap. WIFI was great. DISH TV had enough channels to watch something at night. You are about 7 miles from Harrah's Cherokee casino. Definitely would go back.

Great get away!
We stayed here for an extended weekend trip, and it was really great! We loved having coffee on the porch right at the water! The cabin is small and could be updated but for the price and the location on the water you truly can’t beat it! The inside was very clean when we arrived! We would definitely return! The outside I feel could have been a little cleaner, swing and rocking chairs wiped down but other than that it was very clean!
