"We rented this property thinking that we were renting the whole house as advertised. It turns out that that this house is a hostel as per the sign out front and we were given one room. After some discussion with the owner we were given three rooms. The owner had not been paid by VRBO and I had paid VRBO one month ahead of time. "Ok - where do I start! The “rooms” where not ready when we arrived- no one was expecting us in fact, I spoke to the lovely lady who owned the place and she explained that her rooms where usually pay by the hour (ugh). We had no choice but to stay here - one of the rooms had no lock and another had no bed! This was soon rectified but not to a satisfaction we would expect. There where no televisions in the rooms, no fridges (not even a plug socket!) one room didn’t even have bedding!...

"Check-in was smooth and the location is convenient, but my main issue was the overall condition of the property. The photos online don’t reflect the current state very accurately. During my stay there was construction work underway, including installation of a second lift, which made the shared areas dusty and the environment noticeably noisy. The restaurant also felt quite dated and looked neglected. The room itself also needed attention. The general upkeep felt tired and outdated, with paint marks, visible nails left in the walls where pictures were missing, and water stains on the walls. Even small details were overlooked—there were empty information folders with no useful content, and the telephone in the room wasn’t working. While it’s not directly the hotel’s fault, the adjoining premises appeared abandoned, and the pool there had stagnant water and a strong, unpleasant smell. Unfortunately, the odor made it uncomfortable to stay in the room at times, and the view of the pool with putrid water was very unpleasant. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful, and dinner was ok."

"What a special place! My room was spotless and the staff were warm, kind, and attentive, and always willing to help with whatever I needed. The setting is fabulous - right on the ocean with a magnificent pool. The sea breeze was delightfully cooling as we ate delicious meals in the restaurant.
