Chub Cay Vacations from $1,560

This was my third time staying at a RUI property. The first was in Jamaica and the second was in Aruba. This time it was very disappointing from the time I entered due to a very unpleasant smell. The smell was that of bad plumbing. I thought maybe it was just the air but when I got to my first room it was the view that I didn’t pay for and also the smell. They moved us to the second room which was even worst. When you turn the water on in room 429 it smells like sewage. You couldn’t brush your teeth unless you use the bottled water, showering was very hard bc the smells from the water was so unpleasant. We also saw a few roaches in our room and called up Wilter to investigate and he agreed it was unpleasant and offered to move us AGAIN. By this time I was just frustrated and wanted to leave. The staff did their best to make us feel comfortable and was very pleasant and supportive.but having to sleep in something that unpleasant was very disheartening. I’m disappointed in RUI and will be contacting their corporate office. As for the food and swim up bar, no complaints there. I want shoutout Zuya swim up bartender, David and Anthony at pool bar for outstanding customer service. JayB at the front desk also for exceptional customer service in helping me get assistance for my partner who was injured on an excursion.

Great last minute vacation. The resort is very nice, staff is very friendly and the food is great. We also tried many other restaurants on the island. The beach is very clean and the pool is great. Front desk is very helpful and contrary to some other reviews, we were never approached for buying any units. Construction of phase 2 tower nearby is very quiet.
