“Great hotel! Very happy with our stay. Balcony deluxe seaview rom was very good. Delicious breakfast and perfect location!”

“The property is located on a bluff overlooking the city….that makes walking to the Old Town longer…that is until our last evening when front-desk person let us know about a hotel elevator (why didn’t the check-in person let us know????) that takes a 1/2 kilometer walk away. Room and bathroom were nice though the windowless living room was not useful for us.”

“Nytt og fresh hotel, gode senger, bra trykk i dusjen, nydelig frokost, ligger i rolig bakgate, kort vei til busstasjon, tog og shopping. Ti minutter å gå til stranda og gamlebyen. Kjekt med takterrasse for soling, - vi rakk dessverre ikke å prøve spaavdelingen. Skal definitivt tilbake til denne fine byen og bo på Axel Hotel.”

“Great hotel beautifully apportioned. Room: + very spacious and the bed was very confortable. - lack of hooks to hang wet towels etc. Swimming pool only open during the summer - closed from mid Sep. Part of the reason we booked (small honeymoon) here was to have a few days by the pool had we known it would have influenced our decision. Location: + peaceful and quiet. not far by bus into the town around 20min on busy day and 15min when less busy. bus stop right outside hotel can use contactless……

“The staff did everything they possibly could to make our stay the best it could be. 5 stars for them! The location was good and the breakfast nice. ”

“Maybe the most convenient location in San Sebastian. It was so nice to be able to walk to any of our favorite pintxo bars in under five minutes. Also, if we wanted to take a break during the day, we were always within walking distance to the hotel. The staff was excellent, friendly, and very helpful with any questions we had. I will definitely stay here again.”
