"All the positive reviews were true, as is the property description. The whole place is new, the view is gorgeous, you can literally throw a stone from the large deck into the river. A few things not often mentioned - the wifi is great. My wife and I had to work a few days and we could both be on video calls at the same time. The kayak launch is great - we didn't see a better set up during our paddles either up or down the river. There are a ton of outlets. 14 above the kitchen counters. I always bring a few power strips to rentals just in case but none were needed here. The table and silverware were matching sets - this was not filled with castoffs from another house. I met John when he was next door. Very nice guy, genuinely wanted us to have a great stay. This is my first review for VRBO but this place was so good, I wanted to let people know that it's legit."

The surroundings were simply breathtaking - the cottage was nestled among towering trees, and the sounds of nature were the only ones we heard during our stay. We spent our rainy days enjoying my daughter’s dance showcase, hiking through the beautiful trails of Cook Forest, exploring, and relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere. "Expedia screwed up our check in. I'll never use exprdia again. Thank God the hotel staff new exactly how to fix the issue because it happens so often. The screw up could've ruined our trip because there is no other hotel within 40 miles of this location. "
