"Clean comfortable room. The lighting was tricky(I’m not familiar with inserting your key card into a slot in order to activate electricity). An explanation would have been helpful. The front desk staff was not particularly helpful with transportation issues. In addition staff throughout the hotel - front desk, restaurant, bar - were very superior in attitude, appeared bothered by questions, not particularly friendly. Breakfast, restaurant food and service, housekeeping, room conditions were all excellent. Other staff were not friendly or interested. Not the typical Irish welcoming that you expect in Ireland."

"Gym was good pool was crowded especially the changing rooms as it was a membership facility not solely for the hotel members but the overall stay was nice"

"Best hotel experience I’ve had. Start to finish service was excellent. Room was comfortable and luxurious. Castle meals and amenities were fun, relaxing and educational. Impeccable service all round. Would not hesitate to visit the lodge again."
