Colne (1.5 miles) – Bars, restaurants, and independent shops. 5-minute drive or 30-minute scenic walk.  
Direct access to nature – Stunning walking and hiking trails from the doorstep.  
Surrounded by scenic beauty – Close to Pendle Hill, the Pennine Way, Yorkshire Dales, Skipton, and Brontë Country.  
  
Spring Cottage is located in oldest and prettiest part of Trawden village (named best place to live in the North West 2022 in the Times newspaper)  
  
With incredible countryside and walking routes right on the doorstep plus within easy reach of Pendle Hill & Witch Country, the Pennine Way, the Yorkshire Dales, Skipton & Brontë Country. You are in the perfect place for outdoor adventures and relaxation!  
  
Spring Cottage has both an old and contemporary feel and is an uncluttered space.  
The space  
The cottage was fully renovated 4 years ago and is finished to a high standard.  
  
Walking into the property is via a vestibule where you can hang coats and leave muddy boots.  
  
The downstairs space is open plan with a multi fuel stove for cosy nights in front of the fire! Snuggle up on the large and comfortable corner sofa and enjoy entertainment inc TV & Marshall bluetooth speaker. Dining can be either in the kitchen or with the table and chairs in the living area.  
  
The living area then leads to the modern and well equipped kitchen which overlooks the south facing private garden. With a breakfast bar and high quality appliances inc a dish washer and washing machine. With a juicer and pod coffee machine for those added extras.  
  
The upstairs of the cottage has two ample sized bedrooms. The front bedroom has two single beds and exposed stonework and some original art hanging on the walls. Bedroom two has a double bed and bedroom furniture and overlooks the south facing garden. There is also a box room which can be used for luggage storage and where you will also find spare linen and cleaning equipment. This room cannot be used for sleeping.  
  
The bathroom contains a bath / shower (rain forest shower), sink and toilet and exposed stonework which we think dates back around 300 years.  
  
To the front is a small garden and to the rear is a private secluded and peaceful garden that in summer is a sun-trap where you can enjoy the relaxing environment and bird song.  
Guest access  
The entire property is yours exclusively throughout your stay and you can self check in via the key safe at the property. We will be available if you need anything at all as we live 2 minutes away.  
  
Parking is on the road which always has available spaces.  
Other things to note  
The town of Colne is 1.5 miles from the cottage and is full of great bars, restaurants and places to shop so you have the benefit of a truly rural and peaceful location with Colne only being a stones throw away.  
  
You will notice at night time it is extremely quiet and tranquil. You also get a wonderful dark sky for those who love stargazing! And... if you are lucky you may see the farmer moving his sheep along the road outside. Finally, the morning chorus from the many wild birds is a joy to wake up to! All in all a truly quiet and pretty rural location.

#### Wonderful cottage in beautiful village 

Fabulous cottage within walking distance of beautiful walking trails, historical buildings and landmarks and of course the amazing and friendly community run pub, shop and library. Beautifully presented and appointed cottage with a sun-trap of a garden overlooking glorious rolling countryside. Owner Alex is super responsive and helpful - 100% recommend this lovely home. Beautiful little cottage in a gorgeous location. Was only a short stay for us as we had come up to see family, but we’ll come again for a longer stay and do some walking.Alex - the owner - was fab with comms and answered all our questions.Lovely and clean, had everything we needed. A lovely cottage in a great location. The village has a great community run pub and shop and has real character. The villagers are friendly and helpful - even in the most trying times! We had a disaster on check out day when there was a huge snowstorm overnight and our car got stuck on the way out of the village. The owner welcomed us back to the cottage and made sure our family were safe and warm until the snow subsided and the roads were clear. An excellent host indeed! The village shop stayed open even though the volunteers had to walk miles through the snow, so we managed to cook some lunch before we headed off into the snow again. It’s a beautiful area and we will definitely be back (when the weather is better) to enjoy the local hospitality and the countryside.

#### Great base for local area

Spring Cottage was a great base for us while we were up in the area visiting friends. The cottage is cute and cozy and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The Trawden Arms is a short walk away and does good food and there are loads of great walks in the area. The host, Alex was very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely lovely cottage - well appointed and decorated, very comfortable living room, beautiful garden, fantastic community in Trawden village including community owned shop, library and pub! It had everything we needed and left us feeling well rested. Will definitely be back.

#### Perfect

This is one of the best VRBO places we have ever stayed in. It feels spacious because of the white walls and furniture and because it is not all cluttered (unlike so many other VRBO's!). The kitchen has all you need, the beds are comfortable, the room with the king size bed has a large window, giving a lot of light. The house is lovely with landscaping in the front and a garden in the back, and many houses on the street have flower boxes. The house is about a 2 block walk from the local pub where many local people were enjoying a sunny day when we were there. The owner was great, and he gave us a book about the history of witches in the area.
