About this property

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Family space+ central +Private entry 2 Bedroom 1 Bath + Bunk Beds + Kitchen

The Suite: The guest suite is located in our walk-out basement. You will have a private entrance around the side of the house with a digital lock to check in and out at your convenience. There are no shared spaces. There are two bedrooms, one with a full size bunk bed . The other room has a queen bed.

The kitchen has includes a Full fridge/freezer, induction 2 burner cooktop, microwave, crock pot, griddle, air fryer/toaster oven. Utensils, plates, glasses, and a water cooler. The kitchen also has a dining area that seats four people. There is not a full size oven/range.

In the private bathroom, there is a shower, sink, and toilet with hair dryer and curling iron, lotions, and many other amenities.

We are an active family with kids and we live upstairs. We do our best to control the noise, but you may hear us upstairs. We haven't had any complaints yet, just making you aware. The temperature is controlled by a thermostat upstairs in our house. It can be cooler downstairs. Please let us know if you would like the temperature turned up or down and bring a sweater just in case! There are also a space heaters for your use and plenty of blankets. The fireplace is shutoff for safety purposes.

There is a washer and dryer in the unit with detergents that you can use.
We're about 1/4 mile away from a trailhead to Pulpit Rock, which offers great views of the entire mountain range; this is a great short hike we love to do!

We are very centrally located:
•10 minutes to the Air Force Academy
and Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame
•15-20 minutes to Garden of the Gods,
downtown, Old Colorado City, Glenn
Eyrie Castle, and Olympic Training
Center.
• 20-25 minutes to Manitou Springs ,
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Cave of the
Winds, and Manitou Cliff Dwellings.
• 25-30 minutes to entrance of Pikes
Peak, The North Pole, Green Mountain
Falls, and Woodland Park
•King soopers, Costco and Sams, Starbucks, Home depot are approx a mile away
•25 minutes to Colorado Springs Airport


Interaction with Guests:
We live upstairs, the entry is private and space is private. We are very active so you may not see us. We are available via or phone/text to help with anything you need.

We're about 1/4 mile away from a trailhead to Pulpit Rock, which offers great views of the entire mountain range; this is a great short hike we love to do!

Getting Around:
You'll be centrally located less than 5 minutes from either I-25 or Academy (major north/south roads) with lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. off of both. This is a suburban home so a car is going to be your best mode of transportation (true for most of Colorado Springs)

Peaceful hideaway in the Springs
This was our second stay here and the property was even nicer. The hosts added a kitchenette and the onsite laundry facilities were very convenient.

Close to everything!
The property is in the heart of the city: a few blocks from Pulpit Rock, a short drive to restaurants and shopping, easy access to I-25 all on a quiet street. Looking forward to our next stay.

Home base
This was a good location for anything in Co Springs. Quiet neighborhood. It is a full basement so some noise from host family above expected - not much at all. Not well set up for cooking a meal - no stove top - just a small oven and microwave. We mostly warmed up leftovers for dinner and were out most of the day. It was a great home base for us.

Great stay for great price
This was the perfect spot to stay for a quick get away. We needed something affordable and this was great. Very comfortable beds too. The only thing we noticed is that we got a little hot at night. Maybe a couple degrees lower would be more comfortable? I will admit we all like to sleep on the colder side, but just having that a little cooler would have been perfect.

Comfy apartment makes for a satisfying visit
A very satisfying visit to Colorado Springs thanks to a comfy basement apartment. The laundry was so convenient, and the microwave and toaster oven were very helpful for our oatmeal and turnover breakfasts. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. Would happily stay again.

Great Place to stay in Colorado Springs
This was a great space for my wife and two teenage kids while we visited Colorado Springs. My son and I enjoyed playing ping pong and the kids liked the bunk beds. I would recommend staying here if visiting the area.

Had family coming to visit, and was looking for more space. This was perfect basement apartment, nice and cool (for summer), great location, convenient to lots of things. The Host has it so comfortably supplied with most everything a visitor would need. I don't know why anyone would book a hotel , this is sooo much more! Thanks for a wonderful stay with the family! Great stay
I specifically chose this place based on what they were offering; close to areas I was interested in, food and gas, options for sleeping washer/dryer, Wi-Fi and in a nice quiet neighborhood. The owners were friendly and helpful. Very comfortable place to stay. FYI, no kitchen area but I knew that going in, which wasn’t an issue for me. The only downside and I couldn’t take parts of a star instead of a whole is that the dryer did not work properly. I washed 6 days worth of closes to find the dryer spun but didn’t dry. Lucky 2 days later I was at a relative’s house.

Perfect Family Stay
From start to finish we had a great time. The check in process was easy. Very responsive when we had any questions. Great layout, lots of space, and we loved being able to play ping pong at night after hiking and rafting. This is a great location! Close to everything yet in a quiet neighborhood! Great location- perfect for my needs.
Basement apartment below owners home. Limited kitchen facilities but everything else you need (listing very accurate in what kitchen has). Owner very responsive to needs. Walking distance to Pulpit trails, and 1.5 miles to nice bike trails. Most of stay without a car, and had no issues.

Convenient & Cute!
Plenty of space for four adults in this basement apartment. Stayed one night after arriving from the CS airport. Beds were very comfy. Appreciated the use of a fridge and coffee bar. Bakery from Boonzaaijer's provided our breakfast yummies. Neighborhood is very quiet yet conveniently located to major streets. Did not have enough time to hike in the nearby parks (sigh). This would be a good place to stay if you're in town for a university visit.

Cool and comfortable lower level space
It was easy to rent this lovely, cool and comfortable space for my niece’s graduation. Lots of space, good beds, fluffy towels and well stocked coffee bar. I used the refrigerator as well. There’s not a true kitchen, but you could do simple things with the microwave and laundry room sink. Nice bathroom as well. Carpets need a little attention and keyless entry a bit challenging at first. I will definitely come back if our family needs extra space for another family event.
