3 Things You'll Love:
✔ Location — 100 yards from the Crested Butte ski lifts. Walk out the door, ski in 3 minutes.
✔ Two Rooms, One Booking — Adjoining rooms with a shared door. Group space and privacy without booking two separate listings.
✔ Year-Round Amenities — Heated pool and hot tub open every day, plus gym, steam room, and free parking.
2 Things to Know:
✔ The Grand Lodge was built in 1999. Rooms are updated, but the building's common areas are dated. This is a 3-star property — not a luxury resort — and the pricing reflects that.
✔ Building amenities (pool, hot tub, gym, steam) are managed by a separate company. They may close amenities without notice, and refunds are not available for closures.
Guest Access:
Both rooms are entirely yours — make yourselves at home.
Self check-in with keypad (code sent via guidebook email).
Free parking lot with EV charging on-site. One parking pass per room (2 passes total for this listing).
All Grand Lodge amenities are included: heated pool, hot tub, gym, steam room, shuttle, and lobby.
The Neighborhood:
Mt. Crested Butte sits at the base of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. The Grand Lodge is in the heart of the base village — you're 100 yards from the ski lifts, steps from the free town shuttle, and surrounded by shops and restaurants without needing a car.
Downtown Crested Butte (Elk Avenue) is a 6-minute drive or free shuttle ride. Elk Avenue is the town's main street — restaurants, bars, art galleries, and historic buildings from the 1880s coal mining era. In summer, this is one of Colorado's top mountain biking destinations; in winter, Crested Butte is known for steep, uncrowded skiing and some of the best extreme terrain in North America.
Most guests bring a car — free parking and EV charging are on-site at the Grand Lodge.
From Gunnison-Crested Butte Airport (GUC): 40-minute drive. Seasonal direct flights from Dallas, Houston, Chicago, and other hubs in winter.
From Denver (DEN): ~4-hour drive via I-70 W to US-50 S to CO-135 N. The route crosses Monarch Pass (11,312 ft) — check conditions at cotrip.org in winter.
Once here, you can get around without a car for most things. The free Mountain Express shuttle stops at the Grand Lodge entrance and runs regularly between Mt. Crested Butte and downtown Crested Butte. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) is limited — don't rely on it.
The ski lifts are a 3-minute walk from the front door. Downtown CB restaurants and shops are a free shuttle ride away.
Other Things to Note:

This property is NOT pet friendly.
This property does not have air conditioning.
Please note: we do not do daily linen service like a traditional hotel (this is Airbnb style). However, if you'd like a turnover to be done during your stay, please give us a 24 notice so we can coordinate with the cleaner. There is an extra cost for this, which is $100.
-Unfortunately, the HOA does not allow pets on the 4th floor. You may see pets on the 4th and 5th floors, however if an owner is staying in their unit, then they are allowed to have a pet (this is the buildings policy and has nothing to do with High Rocky Homes).
Interaction with Guests:
We're Traverse Hospitality — always just a message away. Our level of interaction is entirely up to you: available or invisible, your call. We respond within an hour and offer a virtual concierge with extensive local knowledge for restaurant picks, trail recommendations, and ski conditions.

Great location, bus into town right outside the door. The town is adorable with many restaurants that have great food. Your rental is well stocked, everything is like new. Easy to heat up leftovers. There's so much to do around the area, hiking, horseback riding...
Kitchenette fully stocked & finishes updated in more aged hotel. Convenient walk to slopes & storage of gear with local shop. Pool & hot tub needed more cleaning, packed with users and dirty water thru stay.
Good stay. The heated outside pool was the highlight for the kids. It was strange not having anyone to check in with at a hotel, but it worked fine. The lack of AC was a surprise despite it being listed in the description, but the supplied fan worked out great.
The rooms were clean and well managed, and exactly as described. The only faults we had were ourselves not reading the directions well enough for door codes which was not any fault of the owners. They were very communicative and available as needed throughout.
