- Refurbished in the summer of 2016, but still retaining many original features and charm, offering cosy country living, with 21st century comfort. Located in the grounds of a magnificent mansion house and country estate, close to the pretty towns of Ladybank and Cupar. Within easy reach to the world famous historic seaside town of St Andrews. This area is perfect for golf enthusiast s with over 50 courses on offer within a 25-mile radius, including the 'Old Course' and the championship course at Ladybank, only 2 miles away. Walkers, hikers and cyclists are well catered for too with numerous trails, cycle paths, country parks and nature reserves to explore. The scenic East Neuk with its array of picture-postcard fishing villages and sandy beaches are close at hand. With the cities of Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee all within easy reach by car or by train.
Access to the coach house is via a private staircase and you will find the comfortable lounge and dining area at the end of the hallway, with plenty of seating for everyone, a TVDVD so you can relax and catch up on your favourite shows and there is a cosy a wood burner to snuggle up to in the evenings. (logs included). For meals in together after a day out exploring this area's many attractions, there is a well equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The family bathroom has a bath with lovely views across the grounds, a separate shower and WC. The master bedroom has a king-size bed with views of the grounds and the twin bedroom has a useful en-suite shower and WC. There is also a boiler room and cloakroom downstairs which is ideal for drying off your dog if needed.
Venturing outside, there is a seating area where you can relax and breathe in the fabulous fresh air and as the cottage is set amid 50 acres of beautiful private grounds you are bound to hear and catch glimpses of the local bird and wildlife . Guests are welcome to explore the estate around the established tracks through wonderful woodland, un-enclosed garden areas and surrounding countryside.
Also located nearby on the private estate is Cunnoquhie Lodge which sleeps 2.
