"They gave me a late checkout (2 hours extension) for no additional charge. Staff tried to talk in English with me, and was very helpful. Breakfast was amazing also, and very cheap! The room is very spacious. Some things seem a bit old, and the red light in the bathroom did not work. But it was a nice stay, would probably do it again in the future!"

"We loved the room we got with the private onsen on the balcony, well worth it. The dinner that we had in the private dining room was amazing, so much variety and they were smaller portions which was nice so we could try everything without being too full. The breakfast wasnโt for us, it was Japanese style and while there was a lot of variety, it included a lot of things that were picked and had vinegar on them which wasnโt for us that early in the morning. The other Onsen they have on the property are also very nice. We really enjoyed the outdoor one in the garden area, and watching the sunrise on the rooftop one was breathtaking. They do alternate the days on which men and women can use these onsen so you may want to double check what is available before you leave stay so youโre not disappointed, or just ensure your room has the onsen with it. The room did feel a bit dated, and when the heat was on this awful musty smell blew out of it. The area around the fridge also smelt musty. Other than that the bathroom had great amenities, and you are provided with your own onsen towel as well. "
"We had a decent sized twin room that was very comfortable, but a bit on the โsmallishโ size since we were traveling with 2 big suitcases. The hotel is in good location, with easy access to public transportation, shopping, dining and some top sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check in 2 hours early, which was a nice gesture. A major plus is that they had coin operated laundry rooms on 2 floors. Another plus was that in the evenings, 6 days a week, they had a Maiko perform a couple of dances in the hotel lobby plus allowed guests the opportunity to take photos with her. They also have live music available on Friday evenings. This is definitely a hotel I would return to on a future visit to Kyoto. "
"Very clean and comfortable rooms with amenities. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Location is quite central and close to a nearby train station. "
"They were very attentive and kind, the shuttle was very convenient to go from and to the the train station, the food was amazing and the views and facilities were gorgeous, will definitely come again"
