"Very relaxed stay. Short walk from station or book a taxi for a small fee if you have luggage. Ruriko-in temple and Mt Hiei cable car station is very close with lots of hiking and walking trails. "This is the perfect place for an authentic Japanese experience. The staff are wonderful and the meals are superb. Tranquil surroundings with a 5 star multi-course meals each day for breakfast and dinner. The sauna and hot baths were great for winding down after a day of touring. Touring was easy because bus lines and train lines are nearby. We were sorry to leave the Tea House and really hope to return some day. "

Stayed 3 nights here and it was good but would not stay there again… too crowded."
