The hotel was located in a nice place in downtown Dallas. It was a nice hotel; check-in and check-out was pretty quick. Room was clean and nice. Only downfall was there is no daily housekeeping but that’s understandable with COVID. Would definitely stay here again.

Let me begin by saying that I appreciate the difficult time that employees in the service industry are having right now and we all need to be understanding and patient. This review in no way is critical of the employees, and most of my service issues are probably a result of chronic understaffing. However: upon checking in, valet was way busy and slow and unable to help with luggage—fine. Woman at front desk told me that my reservation had been cancelled—it had not, but a very scary moment after a 10 hour drive. Bar upstairs was nice but only one bartender, and again slow service (and very mediocre food). My biggest complaint: I was put in room 1013 apparently directly underneath the fitness center and at 7 am an industrious guest started weight lifting and dropping the weights right above my room—it sounded like some one was trying to break down the door. . . Very loud and continued for an hour at least. Another serious complaint—apparently Dealey Plaza has become a very sketchy area and was NOT a place one would idly stroll around looking for a restaurant, shops, etc. Very risky. Traveling is expensive. With parking fees etc. this was well over $200 a night for a business trip with little or no amenities—no laundry bags, I had to request extra coffee for the room, and very spartan rooms. I prepaid well in advance and will not make that mistake again as the “prepay discount price” ended up being twice as much when I checked out. Folks: Stay home.
