The lobby area was not readily available to get coffee. They cleaned the room on request, but started out rather clean. It is not a new place and does need some updating. We have little choice in the area while traveling with pets. No breakfast.

Budget hotel provided big bed, good location/price
The Red Roof Inn Dayton-Huber Heights provided a nice, comfortable hotel room for my recent trip to see the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton. The hotel is about a 15-minute drive to the museum with light traffic. I arrived late (i.e. early morning hours) & had to check in from behind a window to the front desk. The lobby itself was locked. No doubt this is for the workers' safety & I didn't mind. The man who checked me in was efficient & good-natured. My room seemed clean & the king bed was very large with many pillows, yet there was still enough space to sit & move around in the room. There was a crumpled bag & receipt that someone must have left in one of the drawers. Bathroom fixtures were a little loose but worked fine. Tub/shower calking was a bit sloppy but not a deal breaker. Be aware that first floor rooms have a door facing an interior corridor & another door facing the outside. I didn't mind. My room was pretty quiet, but it might have been because the hotel didn't seem very full during my stay. The hotel is next to I-70 & its off-ramp to Brandt Pike (Hwy 201) so you get some freeway noise, but I didn't think it was too bad (although I was on the far end of the hotel from the freeway). There is a Tim Hortons restaurant right next to this hotel & a Sonic Drive-In & Waffle House across the street. Other restaurants are about a mile or so away or at the next exit west (HWY 202). It's a budget hotel but provided what I needed with no real problems.

Very dog friendly
Lady who checked me in was super friendly and welcoming. Gentleman who helped me with a key issue was equally as nice. Room was spotless. Mattress was firm with good pillows. Great location, right off the highway with several dining options close by.
