"Room I originally booked was booked when I arrived but the room we were given was a good replacement. The water pressure was awful and beds were incredibly uncomfortable. Breakfast left a lot to be desired but I guess it’s better than nothing. Every morning and night housekeeping would make these incredibly loud banging sounds. The door was difficult to open to our room. I suppose the price I paid reflected in the quality. "

Historic Main Street is the central thoroughfare, lined with hotels, restaurants, and shops. The area is very walkable, making it easy to explore sights like the Adams Museum and the historic casinos.

Couples often find downtown appealing for its blend of history and entertainment. Fall brings crisp air and the beautiful changing colors of the foliage, especially in the surrounding Black Hills National Forest. This season is superb for scenic drives and hikes, and the cooler temperatures are comfortable for walking around Deadwood's historic streets.
