One of the worst stays ever!

Posted Jul 19, 2017
Pros: Not much.
Cons: The rooms need renovating but they are renting them out anyway. I didn't feel important enough to be given a decent room.
I really expected more from a Doubletree. We went to the room we were assigned and noticed right away that the entry door was coming off the hinges! We had to pick it up to get it to close all the way. The carpet was dirty, the bathroom door didn't lock and 1 of the keys didn't work. I went down to the reception desk and told that gal that the room was unacceptable. She apologized and gave me the keys to another room. We moved to the other room where we discovered that the carpet was just as dirty and 1 of the keys didn't work. The fridge seemed to have 3 legs and wobbled. After being in that room for about 10 minutes, the door suddenly opened and an elderly couple came in with their baggage, aided by the maid. I don't know if the room was double-booked or the couple got the wrong room and the maid was more than happy to open the door for them. Either way, we didn't feel safe for the duration of our stay. We had difficulty understanding how the air conditioner worked. We called the desk and they said someone would come up and look at it. While we were waiting, we discovered a thermostat on the wall which was equally cryptic. When the maintenance guy came he showed us how it worked. After running one cycle, it ceased to work at all. There was no fan in the bathroom and no hair dryer. We discovered that if we wanted to listen to music on the TV we would have to pay $10. There was no radio. WiFi was $12.95/day.

Overall OK. Woken up by hotel staff asking if there was a dog barking in our room, which there wasn't. Inappropriate, & tried to enter the room posing as housekeeping only to be front desk staff. Everything else was fine, but that whole experience and accusation left a bad impression.

Find a different place to stay

Posted Jul 9, 2017
Al though hotel staff was nice, this hotel is ran down and in extremely poor condition. Definitely NOT a $220+ facility. Fair price would be more like $89 a night. I stayed here with my three children and the pool was so nasty that we used just because kids were overly excited about 'a pool' but the water was cold and so murky that we could not see the bottom at the shallow end. Room: The faucet in the sink only had hot water since the cold water side did not work. Sheets were fine but carpet in room was old and dirty. A/C was blowing and making noise even when turned off. Overall experience was terrible and super overpriced.

This was a comfortable hotel, undergoing some renovations, but not anything that was inconvenient. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and ample towels in the pool room. We visited family nearby and did some shopping and recreating in the Denver area. The hotel was very convenient for these events.

Denver area stay

Posted Jun 26, 2017
Pros: Location close to highway access
Cons: paint peeling in the bathroom, just looks tacky Restaurant food quality just average for the cost very pricey
Location: nothing special, was there for business
the hotel is very nice and well located. It was a standard hotel with little hoopla I only stayed here for the best price. As for rates it we the lowest price in the area. It was a bit noisy but all hotels are. cant really complain about that Food was average for the price, Wont eat there next time, standard chain restaurant food

What on microwave or refrigerator???????

Posted Jun 26, 2017
Pros: The pool
Cons: Clean the carpet, put a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms.
Location: That was a plus near many restaurants.
No refrigerator and no microwave! I have stayed in many hotels and this is the first one I stayed in that did not have something to warm your food or keep it cold. Will not be coming back!

Great location

Posted May 22, 2017
Pros: Location and staff.
Cons: Renovations are underway for a much needed updating.
Location: Legends Sports Bar very close. Good food and atmosphere. Good freeway access.
The hotel is undergoing renovations but handling it well. The front desk staff both upon check-in and check-out were exceptional. Free cocktail coupon for the sports bar across the parking lot was a nice perk as well.
