Nothing like Description

1. There is no pull-out couch. 2. Dirty dishes with food stuck to them. 3. Dirty and “stained” couch covers. 4. No batteries in TV remote. 5. Wall is separating in the pantry. 6. Dryer handle is broken.

Family oriented, low density, needs updating

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were lucky to be able to book this property four weeks in advance. Pros, low density, family friendly, nice pool, awesome courtyard for kids to play & close to the beach. Cons the condo was HOT, hard to sleep at night, possibly since it was on the fourth floor with an upstairs. Older building, unit needs updating. We did enjoy our stay at Silver Dunes. For an eight day stay, they had planned activities two nights of the week which involved everyone at the property. Families have been coming to this site for 40+ years. Our 13yr old made new friends & we felt very safe letting him roam & play with one another. I will stay here again in another unit closer to the courtyard on the first floor for easier access to things. The beach was private, beautiful & one row of chairs & umbrellas.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have family that make the trip to Destin and stay in Sikver Dunes every year and have been for years. They always stay in the same units when they come. This was our first time there and I was pleased. The property of the condo was nice and affordable, everything was pretty close together so no long distances from point a to b. The condo was spacious very clean. It was also completely stocked with essentials like toiler paper, dishwasher tabs, garbage bags and other stuff you wouldn’t think to bring. The unit could use some updates for a smoother stay but nothing major. Would definitely stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit had excellent space and we really enjoyed the balcony and location near the Gulf. The overall experience was positive. However, the unit itself was in disrepair and needs updating. The balcony screen doors would not open, the laundry room door wouldn’t open, the kitchen sink and one of the bathroom sinks had issues. The Silver Dunes maintanance staff was excellent and addressed all these issues. The unit has not been updated and the carpeting and furniture is quite old - if this is something a potential renter is concerned with they will notice it.

Unit 47 Silver Dunes

This property is family friendly, nice short walk to the beach the only problem we have was the sliding door to the balcony off the master bedroom did not slide so we could not use that balcony which was upsetting best views of the beach from there.

The kitchen needed new appliances (the door to the fridge kept coming open and the stove was old). The upstairs bathroom also needed updating. They were both small. The location was great and we would stay at Silver Dunes again just in a different unit.

Reviewer Comments: the town house layout was perfect for the 4 of us. two adults and two teen agers. the chairs at the beach were set up everyday and the staff is very attentive and was able to help at every turn.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love staying at the silver dunes. It’s been a few years but I can tell that the property has been updated with new paint, pool furniture, and pool deck. Our unit however was disappointing. The unit was dirty. Management was polite and tried to bandaid a few things but I felt like the whole place needed a deep clean. The shower was dirty, glad I didn’t have a little one to bath. I had to clean anything that came out of a kitchen cabinet including cabinet knobs. I even had nail clippings poke me because the carpet was not probably vacuumed. The unit wasn’t updated but it still should have been clean. Especially with covid, I was hoping these things wouldn’t be a problem. I would like to stay there again but we can’t justify the cost for this experience.
