“The hotel is located on the hill. It is not easy to drive up there. Yet its view is beautiful. The room has AC but the remote was not provided, when we asked, the staff told us that it was not necessary to use AC. It is easy to walk down the hill to the streets full of small stores and restaurants. It took us a long time to find a seemingly clean and decent restaurant. We were kind of disppointed at some of them. They were not very friendly. ”

“Safranbolu is an UNESCO city and this hotel has a 220 years old historic building, and promise a squeaking wooden floor. We booked 5 rooms that our group occupied the entire historic mansion. Every room is different in configuration and full of the culture of its golden old days. The hotel manager Hasan greeted us at the door upon our arrival. He and the house lady Safiye served us a beautiful breakfast in the hotel garden. Their hospitality, the hotel and the township of Safranbolu do entire us……

Bu geleneksel Osmanlı konağı gerçekten çok güzel ve tarihi bir dokuya sahip. Konak sahibi hanımefendinin sıcakkanlı misafirperverliği sayesinde kendimizi evimizde gibi hissettik. Konak son derece temiz, düzenli ve huzurlu bir atmosfere sahip.……

“İnternette yazan oda özellikleri ile bize verilen oda farklıydı .istediğimiz oda verilmedi .açiklama olarak da saçma bir açiklamada bulunup konuyu kapattılar .çok fazla rutubet vardı .Yemekleri de özensiz ve kalitesizdi.Çalisanlarin suratı asık ,soru sorduğunuzda sizi tersliyorlar.Kesinlikle gitmenizi tavsiye etmem .”

“Our compact pansiyon with beautiful views across the bay was good value for money. We had a hilarious time with the obliging owner and his family, who do not speak English, trying to convey our needs. With neighbours roped in to help we soon felt part of the community. It was a delightful stay away from the usual tourist traps. The Yildez Cafe opposite is perfect for breakfast.”

He collected me from the central bus station late at night and organised my return journey to Ankara airport I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and will certainly use it again if I go back .The hotel is perfectly located to explore the ancient village.
