“We have been loyal guests at Barceló Manzanillo for years, but sadly this was our last visit. It’s disappointing to see how much the service and maintenance have declined, especially for a resort that is not inexpensive.
The biggest disappointment was the new rule prohibiting food at the beach and pool. Guests must eat in a tiny designated area with only a few tables. If they’re full, you’re expected to eat in nearby chairs, which completely takes away from the resort experience.

“Overall we enjoyed our stay. The resort was beautiful. The room was nice and clean. The only complaint is that if you don’t get the all inclusive, you can’t use the minibar fridge that’s in your room. It’s locked & if you want to use it they will charge you, even if you don’t consume the beverages that are already in there. That was inconvenient.”
