“A lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lady who was front of house in the breakfast room. The room was spacious with comfortable beds- the only negative is the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms. As the window only opens a tiny bit we were roasted at night despite the small fan which was provided. Otherwise all was lovely.”

“Food great, bar great, room good. Problem..no wi fi working and normal phone service non existent in the building. Had to step outside. No tv remote. Only had shower gel in shower, nothing in sink. No iron but there was ironing board!”

“An absolute gem of a hotel. Staff are superb, the grounds are fantastic and the food is amazing. The breakfast is top tier with incredible homemade chutneys and various fruits soaked in delicious syrups along with freshly made hot food. We had dinner at the restaurant - proper, high quality ingredients - genuine quality. It also has an extensive wine selection (definitely not the normal bland wine lists you normally find). “This is a great place to stay with a pub close by owned by the same family. The lodges are beautifully designed and well furnished. The main bedroom is very spacious with a generously sized bed; the bed settee was also used during our stay and made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. The host was very welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed visiting the pub whilst we were there. It’s an easy drive to either Newry (where we were visiting family) or Carlingford and the Greenway.
