“Overall，it was a terrible experience. We stayed there for just one night this time. When arriving with my friends at the hotel, a girl asked us to sit down at the lobby and wait for checking in. So we did. My understanding was that she would bring all the paper forms to us for filling in. Then she came and asked me to go to the counter, which is about 30 meters away from where we sit. It's fine and I went to the counter. The man at the counter asked me some questions and told me to go back to……

“The staff were excellent and extraordinary welcoming. We are an elderly couple and the staff took care of us like we were their own children. The chief went out of his way to ask me what food I liked and cooked it especially just to make us feel welcome. That was not necessary but the warmth of the team made our holiday excellent. So clean and wonderful. ”

“Food good, breakfast nice, although expensive. Swimming pool looked and prob was lovely but right next to restaurant with glass walls so a bit too public for us. Nice sitting area close to trees with monkeys passing through. Staff very courteous and helpful, they arranged an elephant safari for us the same afternoon we arrived. The hotel is quite far from any other hotels or sights - Sigiriya is about 40 mins - so there’s no walking to eat anywhere else but you could get a tuktuk.”

“We had a great time staying at Amaranta, very friendly and smily staff always trying to make us feel welcomed and ready to help. Facilities are always clean, rooms are large and very clean, very comfortable bed, the only thing I would say it wasnt that great is the AC going from 0 to hero but it works! The food at the restaurant was really good. I would highly recommend this place for a relaxed staying.”
