"A beautiful property nestled in the jungle. The views were amazing and the sounds of the rushing river were super relaxing. The rooms were big and airy. There is no air conditioning but some ceiling fans that do the job perfectly (we were never too hot at night) - the pool with the river view in room 10 was spectacular. We enjoyed the food and the service was really nice and kind. Ashley is a character and brings some personality to the table. It’s very isolated but it’s possible to get a Tuktuk to tea plantations (1h) or hike down to a waterfall close by. A beautiful stay! Thanks "

"The Grand Argyle Resort & Villas was a beautiful location. Our room was very clean and spacious. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely kind and accommodating. There was a pool table located upstairs and an outdoor pool, however, it was not clean enough to enter. We did enjoy walking around the property and site seeing. The area offers spectacular views! I would recommend this hotel to others! "

"This place is truly a hidden gem, and the staff is absolutely incredible! It should be on everyone’s list when visiting Sri Lanka. The owner is wonderful; she invited my friend and me for tea, picked us up in her SUV since our tuk-tuk couldn't make it up the hill due to an earlier accident, and welcomed us warmly despite our late check-in. She even called the staff in to prepare a delicious dinner for us, including an amazing spread of fried rice fit for a feast. The staff then helped drive our tuk-tuk up to the property and prepared an incredible breakfast for us the next morning. The service was exceptional, and the views from our room overlooking the water were breathtaking. I highly recommend staying here!"

"Wonderful family and people and property. It is a budget hostel so please keep that in mind. Don’t expect something fancy. The owner makes it affordable and the fees are mainly to keep it operating to make it possible for people travelling on a budget to experience this beautiful country and the property is magnificent in tranquility. Everyone who works there including the owners are respectful, welcoming, hospitable, and extremely helpful in any way they can. I travelled as a solo female and felt more than safe and protected. "
