“Breakfast was lovely and hot. Room was very clean. If I had one thing I would like if I stayed again. Would be AC. Other than that, couldn’t fault the hotel at all. ”

“The hotel was really lovely. The views were second to none but it was the staff that made the stay . The staff were excellent. So friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food in The Azure Restaurant was delicious. I would highly recommend the hotel and I would definitely return.”

“Really nice hotel and the spa is fantastic. A couple of suggestions to make it even better 1. Some of the guests said they had no aircon. Our room was great, but it sounded like a few rooms were without, which wasn't so good in the hot weather. 2. It would be nice to have more water in the rooms. We had 2 plastic bottles of water in day 1. Maybe a glass bottle which could be refilled (better than plastic bottles) would be better 3. We were a little surprised that last orders at the bar was……

“Gardens, pool & aviary all in fine condition, a pleasant and interesting layout to the whole site. Room decor a little tired and this was an old-style small single bed with a mattress approaching the end of its service life. Could hear noises from guest in next room but nothing too intrusive. Food at dinner very nice if a bit portion-controlled. Cheerful staff were helpful and kept up a good atmosphere. Was my 2nd visit and I hope to return”

“Hotel staff were excellent but the fabric of the hotel left much to be desired. We were made very welcome and staff were most helpful, it's just a pity that some furniture was quite shabby and needs updating. One major problem was the bathroom where taking a shower was potentially dangerous, the baths are difficult to step in and out of due to their design which slopes too steeply.”

“We have stayed at the Somerville three times, one being while they hosted our wedding day, and each time was wonderful. We can't fault it. It is situated in a very nice location for sea views, public transport, pubs, restaurants and local shops. It's around a 15 minute drive from the airport. The staff are always helpful, polite and friendly, the hotel is beautiful, the food is delicious and amenities are very good. Thanks again, Somerville!”

“The property was clean & generally well maintained, however it is an older property that would benefit from some updates, such as air conditioning I stayed during a very hot period & although there was a fan in my room it was not adequate, the windows also only open a little The rooms are generally well equipped, however would also benefit from having a small fridge The staff were very friendly & helpful & were always willing to offer information & help when needed The breakfast is very good……

“Immaculate hotel and the staff were always courteous and helpful. Ideally situated for us in the heart of the St Helier, near the marina, bus station and ferry ports. The breakfast was extensive and the evening buffet excellent and good value for residents at £32 per head.”

“Clean rooms”

“Sehr gut direkt am Strand gelegenes hübsches Hotel mit Bushaltestelle vor der Tür, um die ganze Insel zu erkunden. Das Hotel ist selbst ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber es ist alles sehr sauber und das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich. Gute Auswahl beim Frühstück und Möglichkeit, dort auch das Abendessen oder einen Drink einzunehmen.”

“Neat, tidy and spacious rooms with free full breakfast provided. In view that there is no air-conditioning in the room and guests must open the windows to get fresh air, the only drawback is that the windows are not fitted with mosquito screens.”
