“We had a lovely stay at the Savoy! Fantastic staff and great location just a short walk from the town centre. We stayed in the family room which was great. Breakfast was good and also had a lovely meal one night in the restaurant. Live violinist was a treat!”

Location, incredibly hospitable and efficient staff from top to bottom, cleanliness, food and drink, etc. Will definitely be back upon it's re-opening in April.
The ONLY negative is the fact that there is no aircon in the building. It's southerly facing aspect can't help either in this respect. I heard from the staff that 35° in the summer were quite uncomfortable. Yes I know each room……
“Overall fine for its price for a 1 night stay in convenient location. Room interior a bit dated but fine overall. Windows single glazed, rattling when it was stormy. No mini fridge in room. TV signal was poor, if at all working. Bed, whilst comfy, is on small wheels, meaning you're pushing it away from the wall whilst leaning against it. Shower was just a trickle, no real water pressure.”
“The room was small windows needed a good clean, round one window in particular was needing plastered but other than that the room was perfectly clean.
Apart from that we had a great stay
Staff excellent so friendly and helpful, food was great the building itself is unique.
