“Toted as being one of the most remote hotels in SL the hotel did not disappoint. Fabulous location and well run for such a remote site. You certainly got a sense of the rainforest by the time you got there. Our container was comfortable and the bar and dinning rooms spacious. As vegetarians we were a little bored with curry and rice yet again but it was nice not to have to face another buffet dinner as dinner was served to you. “I went to several places in Sri Lanka (the more expensive and the lesser) and I can honestly say I had the best time at this accommodation. I stayed in a tent by the river and the sounds of nature are incredible. The hotel is situated practically inside the rainforest, the owner came and picked me up in the village as the accommodation is at the end of a small path and not reachable by car (which made it even more adventurous, you’re truly going back to nature). Staff was more than kind and so……

“Beautiful room and location - this guesthouse only features 1 bedroom (a minute walk away from the host's house) and is quite isolated. Perfect to spend time in silence, reading or meditating. There are a few guesthouses a couple of minutes walk and it is literally 5 minute walk from one of the entrances to the national park. The host is wonderful and is a guide himself, - his wife cooks great meals (recommended the vibe rice option).”

“接待人員說他們最近換經營者，目前並沒有和Hotels.com合作，因此雖然我們訂房時已經線上付款，他們卻不可能收到訂房資料及房費。因此我們只能被迫當場用現金支付當日的房費。還好尚有空房。前往該民宿的道路十分狹窄，是在山坡中的農地中勉強可供嘟嘟車通行的泥石路，一般汽車無法順利通過。google map的定位點是錯誤的。”

“We came to Sinharaja NP and as nature lovers, we hoped to experience the primary rain forest and the unique birdlife. Unfortunately, the owner talked more about the potential of making billions with this prime location. After talking to a biologist staying at the hotel (who spent several days and a LOT of dollars at the hotel w/o actually being able to enter the primary rainforest/park!), and after a horrible “”night tour”” involving getting lost in the forest/banana plantation in the middle of……
