“Despite booking 5 months in advance of the trip the owner did not communicate any information regarding the booking. The "reception" is unmanned despite the advert saying it is manned between 5pm and 11pm. I tried to contact the owner on the number provided and got sent to an answer phone. Great. The messaging service on Hotels.com also yielded no results. The very helpful bar staff over the road phoned the owner for me, where I found out they had forgotten my reservation. We were allocated……

“Le pod était très joli, propre et bien situé. Nous avons été accueillie par un magnifique arc-en-ciel pendant le coucher de soleil et avons pu profiter du feu du brasero toute la soirée, c’était magique. Le pod n’est normalement pas reservable en octobre mais nous nous sommes mis d’accord avec le gérant. En étant bien couvertes par plusieurs couvertures et pyjamas épais, nous n’avons pas eu froid la nuit (10°C). Toutefois la communication était très difficile. Je devais appeler plusieurs fois……

“The property is new but very charming, built by a craftsman. Parking and grounds are large. Although billed as dog friendly a dog could easily get out onto the road if unsupervised and they request dogs are not left alone which is awkward if you want to go out for a meal in the evening. It's worth noting that the rear of the property is also the owner's market garden and they may want to bring a van alongside the garden area and work. We like our privacy and found this a bit awkward but to be……
