Overall, we were very disappointed in our stay at this hotel. For over $200, we had expected a great experience (and have generally been very impressed with Marriott properties) but the experience was very underwhelming. It was clear that the hotel was extremely understaffed. Our checkin experience was far from stellar, with the staff members out of uniform. The initial staff member we saw was clearly in training and did not appear to understand how to look up our reservation. The manager then came and helped us out, but appeared to be quite uninterested in the process. We had paid extra for the concierge club room for the breakfast. To their credit, the breakfast staff was attentive, but the breakfast itself was extremely unimpressive. Overall, for nearly $270 on a Wednesday night in Pontiac Michigan, the experience just wasn’t up to what I’ve come to expect from the Marriot. We were delayed due to weather on our return from the first half of our honeymoon, so I had decided to book a nice room for my wife and myself. Overall, we were just kind of disappointed by the experience.
