What the Tabard Inn lacks in luxury, it makes up in character. A bit pricey for what you get, but has a quirky charm.

It was a really good stay. This is an apartment building where a lot of people live. The space was functional and a wonderful base for visiting the DC area. Very easy to walk to the Metro. We did have some difficulties although it did not cause any significant problems. I am only mentioning because I wished I had known before arriving. They appeared to be painting and replacing carpeting in the hallway to access the apartment. This will be really nice once it is finished but we arrived late at night and it felt pretty dodgy. Once we figured out they were improving the hallway area we were not concerned. The process for getting the key could be explained a lot better. I feel like a parking pass should be included with the fees being charged, but if not I feel like the process for getting the parking pass could be explained a lot better. I do strongly recommend getting the parking pass for the building because the street parking is not easy at all. The pictures in the listing were very confusing to me. I wish there was just one or two pictures of each room of the apartment instead of 50 different pictures, some of which were pictures unrelated to the apartment we were staying in. Again, in summary, it was an excellent stay. I would definitely stay here again. Just making a few notes to help future travelers.

The home was exactly as pictured. Lots of food options within walking distance. The home was extremely clean and had everything that you needed. Margarita was a great host. I will be back!

We stayed in a 3-bedroom unit. The unit was very spacious, approximately 1725 square feet. The location was wonderful. Be advised the HVAC for the unit is controlled building-wide, so you have AC during the summer months and heat during the winter months. If you get a very warm day in late November, as we did, then the unit is going to be warm. There are some fans available in the unit to help in this situation. There were very few flat surfaces in the unit on which to place items such as luggage. A luggage rack or some type of furniture would be a nice addition to the unit. The beds were comfortable, and the bedding provided was nice. The primary bedroom/bathroom has a somewhat strange layout, but there was still ample room, although we longed for a space on which to place our luggage. There were also no drawers in which to place clothing As we were only staying for 4 days, we did not plan to completely unpack our belongings. The kitchen has adequate space; however, we noted there were no measuring spoons, and the knives are very dull. There is also no dish drainer, but we easily remedied that by using the shelves in the dishwasher for drying items. There is an area in the kitchen that needs a small table for additional work space. The living area was spacious; however, it could easily accommodate another chair or two. The balcony was also very spacious. We felt the unit was somewhat overpriced for a condo that needed additional items.
