Cons: pool area
Nice, clean hotel. Good location if going on Christmas Train. Pool area was a little small.

Upscale appeal disappointment.Posted Oct 19, 2015
The hotel was ok. They forgot to clean the room one day and forgot toilet paper the next. The hallway was loud so we were glad to be toward the end. The staff was nice but the service just wasn't there.

The downfall of booking on ExpediaPosted Sep 21, 2015
We arrived at the Hotel at 3pm for check in and were told our room would be ready in 15 minutes and were given a drink certificate for the bar. After waiting and checking with the front desk ever 15 minutes I was informed by the front desk person that our confirmed room was given to someone else. When the Front desk person asked the manager what to do the manager told him that we booked through Expedia and he can put us where ever he wants. We were checked in to our room at 5pm. So we ended up with a room facing the parking ramp..

Disappointingly underwhelmed.Posted Sep 14, 2015
Pros: Room had excellent view of Lake Superior, perhaps its one redeeming quality.
Cons: The attitude and aptitude of the hotel staff.
Hotel staff were unpleasant and resolved to be as unhelpful as possible. Not worth the price. Hugely disappointed. Would not stay again.

Adequate for a stay where all you want is sleepPosted Aug 27, 2015 on Hotels
Rooms were fine - standard "deluxe" 2 queen beds Bathroom was good, water pressure was good. Rug had numerous stains in both rooms and it really made it look shabby Pillows and lines were above the normal standard

One night stayPosted Aug 16, 2015 on Hotels
Check in took forever. There were lots of people checking in (typical of a Saturday afternoon in the summer I'd suspect), yet apparently the cleaning staff hadn't actually gotten all the rooms ready as time after time people were told their room wasn't available yet and they'd have to wait. Luckily ours WAS ready and once we made it to the front of the line our check in was smooth and easy. The room was nice, but dated. Also the lights and outlets were kinda funky. Several didn't operate until a switch on the other side of the room was flipped. Didn't make much sense. We didn't spend much time in the room other than to clean up before going out for the evening and then coming back to sleep so no problems. Breakfast on Sunday in the dining room was very good, and the wait staff was excellent and attentive. It wasn't cheap, but it was a nice way to end our stay at the Sheraton Duluth.

Small room for $$$Posted Aug 2, 2015
Room not for three adults. Restaurant good. Expensive for the small room and few amenities. Old. Staff not willing to change room because reservations made through Expedia.
