The hotel is on the lake with great views. Sadly, the windows were so dirty that the lake could not be seen. We were on the first floor. In the future, we will ask for a third floor room because the view will be spectacular--IF THE WINDOWS ARE CLEAN!!
For a conference center, I felt like it could use some improvements and updates. But it was clean, the staff was great, and it was fine for a one night stay. We loved how it was right on the lake and made it easy to walk to the pier.
The hotel is in a lovely setting right on Lake Erie, but the rooms and interior are old and in need of updating. The staff was very friendly and courteous.
Staff was very helpful.
Other than that, no. We didn’t want to take our socks off on the carpet. The mini fridge was dirty and rusting. There were rust stains in the tub. Honestly, if I was staying here for a conference, I would be mad.
The place has so much potential! The location is fantastic, staff is helpful and kind, but the property needs some work.
The only good thing was the view. Enjoyed the outside seating area.
The breakfast was just so so and the area is not the cleanest. Tables are very sticky, (I guess from whatever cleaner they use). You could also use new chairs in the food area.
There was not a refrigerator in our room which would have been nice to have.
Shame on Clarion Hotels for neglecting this waterfront property and letting it become a sad, shabby, not inexpensive, hotel. The room phone was broken, the room safe didn’t work, room keys didn’t work, the room was poorly lit, and the bathroom was yuck. The staff was friendly, though our room across from the housekeeping area was loud with staff arguing or having conversation. The restaurant was fine. The only thing edible at the free breakfast offered by the hotel, was a tiny yogurt.

Great service, room was clean. Breakfast was good.
The lobby, bar and restaurant were clean and inviting. Staff was friendly, nice and pleasure to talk too. Rooms were a different story. Absolutely disappointing, mold on ceiling, broken shower head, frame on mirror falling off, TV stopped working many times, but the worst was the blood splatter on the wall. The hotel can do much better. Would probably never stay there or any Clarion Hotels again after this.
Staff was great, room was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.

Room was clean and nice. Elevator has been out for a year, (we stay often). I don’t use the shampoo and such but not all were new.
This is a great hotel that just needs an overhall
