“Only a block from the Seine! The small room was clean although the carpet under the bed was fairly dingy. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean. It was a hot July week in Paris; no AC but a strong fan was provided. Travellers need to know that the room is 4 floors up a semi-spiral staircase and there is no elevator. Carrying suitcases up and down was awkward, tho' I considered it daily exercise. Unfortunately, my plane got in at 6am and instruction from the host informed that room access……

With that said, the fold-out bed is very uncomfortable; the shower takes a long time to drain; the bathroom is cramped; and the owners tried to charge me half of my security deposit, saying they had paid me in full, which was not the case. “The host and communication was great. The place was not as nice as the pictures. The ceilings in some areas are less than 5’10 inches. That’s how tall I am and I hit my head many times. Location is fantastic, but the room itself is on the fourth floor, no elevator, no air-conditioning, and low ceilings is mediocre. The cleaning staff showed up an hour before check-out and walked in the apartment unannounced… if you’re looking for a fantastic location and don’t care about short ceilings… This is……

“Our family of 4 enjoyed a lovely visit in Paris. The location on Ile St. Louis was surrounded by charm, central to the metro and a perfect base for exploring the city. The apartment was spacious and clean and offers a view of the Seine.”

“The check in process is a nightmare and we were unable to reach a service staff member to help us get checked in. We did not get to stay in the apartment and the worst experience ever. No help, left out on the side of the street for hours. Eventually had to make other arrangements. The support team did not exist and Expedia is investigating.”

“The apartment is in a very good location to get to The Marais, Beaubourg and the river within a 10 minute walk. It is quiet at night and we felt safe. It is air conditioned and has a good shower room. However, it is to all intents and purposes, hermetically sealed with no usable opening windows and the windows have obscure film or shutters on them so you can’t see outside- necessary, presumably, because it is at street level. The sitting room portion has better climate control, the bedroom and……

“Tastfully reburished apartment with well preserved details in historic Paris apartment building. Very comfortable for our family of five, but can easily accommodate large groups. Lively location, very close to various metrolines. Well-equiped with brand new appliances (also including a washing machine which was a pleasant surprise). Smooth check-in and excellent contact with Rivka who made sure we had everything we needed. We had a lovely time! Nothing comes to mind.”
