“Nicer than the pictures—we only got to stay one night, but we would return when we travel through Bergen again. A plus that it had an elevator instead of having to get our luggage up the stairs. We cooked in the kitchen and found that we had what we needed to get the meals together. We also were able to do a load of laundry, a plus. They view was wonderful, and the owner has plants on the balcony which made it feel cozy. For us, having some space to spread out versus just a hotel room is a huge……

A nice walk or scooter ride can get you anywhere you need to be in the city (scooter rentals are EVERYWHERE and a great way to get around.) Stores and restaurants are right across the street. "In summary one of the poorest hotel quality I can get for the last 10 years. We booked the deluxe twin bed room for 3 nights in Bergen. Whilst it says deluxe it’s actually two tiny beds which is surely not a standard single bed. We picked the hotel due to its location but actually there are plenty of better choices. First of all we took over 20 hours to get to Bergen and desperate for a good rest. We were woke up by heavy rock music at 2am in the morning. Then the music lasted till around 4 am and then we can only sleep after this. The hotel staff said this is nothing they can do for the music from the night clubs ! Then we went out on the following morning and came back to the hotel at around 4pm as we were also tired due to jet leg. So surprised when we opened the door that the room has not been cleaned at 4pm! Then the room is strange that sometimes there is no electricity for certain lights and the ventilation. We asked the hotel staff if this is part of the environmental friendly policies. The answer is no and he can’t figure out why this is the case. Bergan is a very pretty place and have lots to see. My advice is not to stay in this hotel if you want to have a peaceful and comfortable trip. "
