Tousled hair, a subtle glow and nature underneath your feet. Your vacation just wouldn't be the same without these small joys. Argegno Beach, 50 miles to the southwest, and Lido Belvedere Iseo, 55 miles to the south, are two attractive places.

Pull on some comfy shoes and discover the magic at Bormio Thermal Baths, located 25 miles from Engadin. Another great option is Staz Lake, which is 4 miles away.

Grab your skis and hit the fresh trails! There are two great options in the area, Sci Club Cunardo and Montecampione Resort. The first is 60 miles away and the second is 45 miles.

Although you may be only visiting for the day, it's recommended that you experience Casino St. Moritz and Signal Gondola.

Alpin Museum and Bellavita Pool and Spa are in Silvaplana, a nearby destination 1 mile away. Why not take a look? Champfer is another worthwhile option. It's around 1 mile away, and is the location of Mineralbad Baths and Spa and Kulm Golf Course.

When it's time to spread your wings, pay a visit to a regional hub. Sankt Moritz-Bad is around 2 miles away and features visitor attractions, such as Morteratsch Glacier, Muottas Muragl and Engadin Golf Samedan & Zuoz-Madulain. St. Moritz Leaning Tower and Lake St. Moritz are additional points of interest that are worth a visit.

Engross yourself in the vibrant culinary culture and try some chocolate and chestnuts. These two ingredients are found seemingly everywhere in the region.

Be sure to sample some local dishes, like bündner gerstensuppe (grisons barley soup) and wurstsalat (sausage salad).

End with bündner nusstorte (nut filled tart), a delectable dessert.

There's nothing quite like a few beers with your buddies to finish off a satisfying day. Appenzeller is one of the most popular in the region.

If you don't want to have any alcohol, why not have some ovomaltine?

Wine expert or not, you simply must order a bottle of chasselas. It's the perfect accompaniment to a flavorsome meal. That being said, the locals also recommend riesling x sylvaner. Why not try both?

The only bad thing about going on vacation is that, eventually, it must come to an end. While it may be tough saying "Bis spöter" to Engadin, just remember that you can always come back!

When you're ready to head to the airport, you might like to know that Agno Airport is about 55 miles to the southwest.

Accommodation in Engadin

Engadin is very popular with vacationers, and boasts a good range of places to stay. Expedia's Engadin lodging guide makes booking easy.

The Carlton Hotel St Moritz, situated at Via Johannes Badrutt 11, and the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz, at Via Veglia 18, are both fine examples of high-ranking Engadin lodgings.
