I travel up for a car meet every year. The area around the PIR is a disaster. This hotel was a serene safe place, and nearby to the track. I felt my car was safe, behind a gated fence, and with a security guard 24/7. Bar and restaurant were reasonable and very nice. It's my hotel of choice as of now. Stay there. It's good.
I've traveled for a living for 40 years and tend to be very critical of hotels, if that tells you anything.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The front desk lady was very nice and funny. The airport shuttle guy was very nice and helpful. I would recommend staying here. I felt safe and welcomed with my 2 kids.

The room style was old fashion motel and small. However, it was very clean and well kept. What amazed me was how quiet it was. I slept well and that was so important.

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Portland City Center. After an extremely difficult situation at another hotel, I had to check in here just before midnight. The transition was seamless and the staff went above and beyond—assisting with my bags and making me feel immediately welcomed during a very stressful time.

Two well-appointed bedrooms with one bathroom. VERY clean. Bathroom has a large window (with privacy glass), so there's lots of natural light. Refrigerator and microwave were spotless and so convenient. Comfortable beds and good pillow selection with comfortable linens. The gentleman at check in was friendly and helpful.

When you cut your vacation down to just a few days, you don't have to worry as much about hotel prices since you don't have that many nights to stay. For budget hotels in Fairview, 3 to 4 days should be all the nights you need. That's generally enough to enjoy the city's top attractions, though there's certainly enough to do to warrant a week-long trip.
When booking cheap hotel rooms in Fairview, it's typically best to book about 3 weeks in advance. Book further in advance than that and you could be paying too much for your room, as hotels will often overestimate future demand. However, if you wait too long, you might find that the hotel has been completely booked.
