I think of a Ritz Carlton as an over the top experience but I feel the Amelia Island Ritz is underwhelming. With all resort fees, parking cost etc., the nightly room charge was $1400. That is no food or activity charges. We were disappointed their “Salt” restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday so did not get to eat there. Other eating options are fine but not special by any means.

I retired from over 25 years in the hospitality industry. The property is obviously older. However, for a non- branded property, it was refurbished inside and out very well. It was comfortable, all ground floor suites and very quiet. It made for a great weekend. I will be back and recommend it to anyone looking for this type of stay.

Stay didn’t include breakfast. The room was okay as far as cleanliness, you can tell they did a quick clean instead of a thorough clean. One of knobs on the bathroom sink did not work for the hot water. Room did not include a microwave so we had to ask for one in which was a $20 charge per night. ...
