Breakfast was excellent ! Had to walk to another building to eat, though, and present a voucher the second you walked in. Bed squeaked, but overall it was fine.

Upon check in, the people at the front desk were nice, but upon entering the room, we quickly realized we could not stay there due to the constant odor in the room. It smelled awful. We gave it a few minutes to see if it would go away. It did not. We asked the young lady at the front desk what it was. She said it wasn't anything she could do about it. We couldn't stay there. I canceled my reservation. Will not return and will not recommend. We were told The Colony took this property over after Best Western let it go. I was surprised upon check in because I stayed there in the past when it was Best Westen and it was never this bad. Obviously the new owners aren't concerned with their guests having a pleasant stay.

Our second stay. One of the few near Memphis that accepts pets. Convenient to I-40. Food choices are slim. The local eateries are rated 2 star while Subway is rated 4 star...enough said. We bought frozen food and salad at nearby grocery and ate in our room. Room was OK, but cobwebs hanging from ceiling. Not the cleanest. The two ladies who service the breakfast couldn't be nicer.

The trash had not been taken out...there was a dirty diaper in the trash can. There were no wash clothes in the room. We asked for a wake up call, but did not get one.

Pros: The wait staff at breakfast.
Cons: The bed, the pool, and the air conditioner.
Location: Right off of I-40
This has been the worst hotel experience by far! We were excited about the pool being open until we got there. The hand rail going into the pool was broken, the area was nasty dirty, and the steps were extremely slippery. The air conditioner in our room was LOUD! It banged and clanked all night long and if we turned it off the room was stiffling hot. The beds were musty smelling and extremely hard. We also had 2 roaches crawl out of the sink when we got there. The breakfast buffet was just ok. The "wait staff" at breakfast was nice and friendly.

Location: Close in distance to where I had to go.
Checking was ok but waiting on my rooms was very disapponted . I had to wait an whole hour, door knob fell off. but the bed was comfortable!

Cons: Pets & Smoking allowed. This is OK if you smoke or travel with pets but this was not mentioned in my initial reservation phone call.
When we arrived and checked out our room (before actually checking in), we noticed the room was not as spacious as I was led to believe by Expedia. There was a fly in the unclean window of the motel (all rooms had outside entrances) The sign said "pets allowed" and since one of our party of 2 was allergic to dogs & cats, we asked if they had "No Pet Allowed" rooms and were told that all rooms were open to pets. We then cancelled our reservation and went to another place to stay ( HOTEL WITH INSIDE ENTRACE TO OUR ROOM).
