It has historically value and great view of Lake Superior

Lovely breakfast spread with hot oatmeal ready to eat. Room was in great shape. We didn't do anything in the vicinity, but there was a grocery store and gas station next door, with several restaurants on the street.

Room was clean, breakfast was good.

Window seal was broken so we could not look outside. Room had a big open space where a chair should be. Restaurant and staff were excellent. Food and service were top notch.

I have stayed many times at this hotel, basically since it opened. There have been management changes and a few disappointments; however they seem to have worked out the issues. What hasn’t changed is that the bed and pillows are comfortable, the shower has a good spray, the amenities are sufficient, and the satellite tv channels are plentiful. And the staff is always pleasant and helpful. But what I found this time is the shower curtain smelled and the sofa and chairs needed to be cleaned; everything else was clean. I’ll be interested to see if they remedy this the next time I stay.
