This property exceeded all expectations. The home is in pristine condition, and the aesthetic is magazine-worthy. Sheets, bedding, towels, even bath rugs, were quality. It was truly a vacation to feel this comfortable. We hope to be back and take advantage of the activities as well. They have thought of everything. Beyond a first rate experience, this is a unique setting, with great proximity, and thoughtful hosts.

We had a fantastic stay at the Tripping Gnome Farm Guest House! The house itself is absolutely beautiful — spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, perfect for our two families with kids ranging from 4–9. Every detail is thoughtfully designed, and the turf house was a big hit with the kids as their own little secret hangout spot.We filled our days kayaking, hiking, playing on the fun disc golf course, and picking up delicious farm-fresh produce from the charming farm store. Robin and Harry were such gracious and welcoming hosts — they made us feel right at home.The location is also perfect: peaceful and scenic but still close to everything we wanted to do in the area. We can’t wait to come back soon!

A Serene Countryside Oasis

Robin and Harry were the perfect hosts and their property was both beautiful and inviting. The Tripping Gnome guest house was comfortable and had everything we needed for a family weekend away. Only minutes from the hubbub of Freeport ME shopping, it was nice to return to the absolute serenity of the farm. Thank you for sharing your oasis with us!

Best Verbo booking I ever did

We absolutely loved our stay! Robin and Harry were lovely and so accommodating with the timing we checked in to allow us to be in early. It’s located on their property so I felt like our place was secure. The Vrbo itself was so beautiful. the beds were comfortable the towels weren’t scratchy, but plump and, clean and lovely like I have at my house. There was plenty of room for us to bring in breakfast food in their fridge. It was nice and quiet. I love that they have a store where we could buy their homegrown mushrooms and micro greens. I can’t say enough for how it was such a perfect fit for our family and friends .

Freeport at its best

Property, accommodations and host could not have been better. This is a great place to stay in Freeport and we highly recommend it for families visiting the area. What a gem!

A little bit of Heaven

Both hosts and property were beyond fantastic. Don't pass up the opportunity to stay. Trails a fantasy land, moss covered along a stream that leads to a marsh area and kayaks. I can't say enough.

Beautiful peaceful farm stay

Robin and Harry were wonderfully hospitable and attentive. The farmhouse was immaculate, comfortable, and situated on a quiet, beautiful farm, with quick access to anything and everything you would need--more Maine beauty, restaurants, shopping, groceries. We especially enjoyed the opportunity to kayak as they provided everything one would need steps from the farmhouse. The only information to note is that the kitchen is a little small in that there is no stove, oven, dishwasher (small sink) or full refrigerator--which if you are planning on staying for a longer time and want to do some cooking, it might be a little challenging. For us, it was fine as we just ate simple snacks at the farmhouse and ate out at the wonderful nearby restaurants for our meals. Thank you, Robin and Harry, for a wonderful stay. We definitely hope to return!

Wonderful Property

We had such a lovely stay at the farmhouse. The hosts were very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. The property itself is expansive, and we enjoyed walking around and playing disc golf. Such a beautiful stay, thank you!
