"Our stay was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Our room had a small veranda. The owners made us very welcome, and gave us good advice. The Hochschwartwald card was excellent allowing us to visit Freiburg, Titisee and Donaueschingen by train and take a boat tour of the lake, all at no cost. We were really lucky to have found this small hotel."

"We were cycling around the area and this was a great place to stop. Fantastic staff that helped store our bikes and gave us welcome drinks after a long ride. Delicious breakfast and dinner and also a convenient supermarket nearby. Thanks for a great stay. "

"Freundlich. sauber, Frühstück tip-top. Zimmer zur Straße etwas lärmig. Nur die Ankunft gestaltete sich schwierig, da wir gemäß schriftlicher Bestätigung um 1500 Uhr hätten Einchecken können, standen wir vor verschlossener Türe. Das Hotel öffnet am Wochenende erst ab 1700 Uhr!"

"It's a family hotel. Don't expect to check in before 5 pm. I had to wait for almost 2 hours and could get the key at about 17:15. Wifi only works downstairs in the restaurant and not in the room. Breakfast was at 9 am and included in my price. The room faces the street and the windows were permanently covered."

"We stayed here for one night in a triple, which looked just like in the pictures. The room was fairly sparse with three twin beds, a tiny table and three stools, and a wardrobe. We came during the off-season when there were very few people in the hotel, so we had our hallway to ourselves. Each hallway is named after a different European country, with the individual rooms named after major cities, which fits into the theme of the European guesthouse. "Neighbourhood was great with proximity to forest paths, river and the famous Titisee and Schluchsee. The "detached quiet cottage for 4" left a lot to be desired. Transparency on costs per night: apparently price on Vrbo is for 2 persons, with each additional person at 15.80USD per night on my booking. Cleanliness: Living room sofa was full of hair from a previous occupant. The bed in the childrens room had traces of confetti or sweets from a previous occupant. Communication: Nothing...

Great for families.
"It was a good-sized room. I liked the layout of the room with the master room and separate sleeping area for the kids. The bathroom is good, it’s a stand in shower for those who prefer tubs. The breakfast spread was wonderful. It’s a a great location, we didn’t try the pool but I know it’s not something many hotels have in the area so that’s great. The rooms don’t have AC so that’s something to consider for the summer. It’s very close to a supermarket. I appreciated the free tickets to several attractions and the locked parking garage for cars was a great option. The hotel has an elevator, a little small but it’s always appreciated. There is an outside playground and a little play area inside for children, which is great for families. The TV channels offered were very good with things like Nickelodeon and Disney. Overall and excellent choice for families with children. I would definitely stay here again. "
