Dolmen de la Magdeleine ou de la Madeleine à Gennes (Maine-et-Loire). C'est un des plus beaux dolmen par sa taille. Dimensions : 14 m sur 5,70 m hauteur moyenne sous le dalle de 2,70 m surface 80 m² Le dolmen est constitué de plusieurs dalles en grès à sabals*. Probablement de type angevin malgré l'absence de portique d'entrée côté est. Il fut réutilisé comme remise à charrettes au 19ème siècle. Les vestiges d'un four à pain dans la chambre et d'un chambranle de porte témoignent de son utilisation par la ferme voisine. Des fouilles réalisées en 1940 on permis de retrouver de nombreux ossements ainsi que des silex taillés. Grès à sabals: Les grès à sabalites sont le témoin d'un climat tropical en Anjou. Les fossiles végétaux, feuilles de palmier sabalites de l’éocène (55- 33 millions d'années) figurent dans la formation dite des «grès à sabals». "A very spacious property both inside and out. Very well equipped, and appearing to be further developed. Very good kitchen, bbq and outside areas and a rather quirky inside layout. Lots of space for families with children. We had an issue at one point and the owners, who are charming people, were very quick to respond and to try and sort things out. The pool, of course, is excellent, particularly as we had extremely hot weather."

"Nous étions 6 adultes et le gîte est remarquable de praticité (parking, terrain, maison vaste, 2 sdb/wc). On aurait juste un petit bémol sur la vaisselle, calculée au plus juste et qui manque un peu de coupelles, poêles/casseroles si on aime cuisiner et préparer sans faire de lave-vaisselle à chaque repas. Audrey était très réactive et nous avons passé un super moment au gîte tout en découvrant Angers à à peine 15/20 mn c’était idéal. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. "

And it has the extra charm of being in a cave with exposed rock walls. This required special attention when entering the upper level.
