All staff members from those at the enterance who greeted us, to the concierge, to the servers in the restaurant and the patio bar, were so welcoming and kind and attentive to us from the start to the finish of our stay. Great location in Georgetown neighborhood. Room was lovely with very comfortable bed and newly renovated clean beautiful bathroom. Staff was very accommodating, greeting us each morning with great coffee and pastries and every evening with complimentary wine and Champagne. We will definitely stay at the Avery when we return to D.C.

My wife and I wanted to treat ourselves to a luxurious, adult hotel while staying in DC for our 50th wedding anniversary. Don't think we could have done better than Capella. Georgetown is a pleasure for diners. Public transportation -- the "Circulator", Metro, busses, and cabs -- are so convenient and inexpensive. 50 cents each for seniors to get to Union Station at the Capitol. Ganaa was so hospitable & allowed us to check in early since our room was ready. We stayed in Lock 10 & it was nicely appointed with an added pull out couch. Loved the skylight in the bathroom. Perfect location next to M street & a quaint little Italian restaurant. Everything was within walking distance - very convenient. Not full service, but it was all we needed as we wanted to dine in Georgetown!

What an absolute dream of a hotel! They had NPR playing on the radio when I arrived, then later came by for turn down service, complete with classical music, a bottle of water, and chocolates. Divine!

Once you get used to no front desk it’s a good option.

Get away trip right before 4th of July for my husband and I. We had a great experience. Staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. Everything was very well cleaned and maintained. Close to Metro station, area was beautiful and safe. Close to museums and nearby restaurants. Planning to stay there again.

My stay with Riggs Hotel was very enjoyable. Upon arrival we were greeted with the vallet on what to do. Very helpful!! Easy check in! Great location!! Only thing I was surprised about was that the bed did not have a fitted sheet? Leaving guest to lay on a plastic encasement? When I asked about sheets, they brought 2 more flat sheets to my room! Very nice! All in all we had a great stay! Already booked again in August!🙂

This was an excellent hotel for families. Breakfast was included making it easy for sightseeing afterword. The staff was outstanding and the metro was nearby and extremely easy to use. Definitely a safe area it also had numerous options for dinner. Would stay again!!!
