(797 reviews) The hotel is in Mellieha in the centre of a residential area. The room I had overlooked the street. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom modern and clean. There is a kitchen area in the room for self catering. The hotel has a cozy atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Of particular mention is Asmita on reception. Nothing was too much trouble. She seemed to have a difficult client on the phone but handled it well. My room was close to reception. There wasn't noise during the night, but early in the morning I was woken by footsteps and voices in the corridor. The outdoor pools look amazing. It was too cold to swim outdoors in March. However, there is a small indoor pool. It was very busy during the day, but I had it to myself in the morning. There is a small well-equipped gym. The air-conditioning in there was very loud. Some of the equipment was broken. The belt on the treadmill was slipping quite dangerously. I reported this to reception so hopefully its sorted by the time you read this. The cave bar is a great place for drinks, especially during happy hour. I didn't eat there but there is a food menu. I ate dinner and breakfast in the main restaurant. Dinner was fantastic but no drinks are included, the drinks menu was expensive €4 for 1l of sparkling water (its about €0.65 in a nearby supermarket for 1.5l) Overall it's a great hotel. I don't think you'd be dissapointed if you book here. However, there are better options in Malta for the money.
