WonderlandPier is run by the legendary Gillian family, who have been in the localamusement park business since the 1920s. Gillian’s Wonderland Pier featuresover 35 rides and attractions, both indoors and outdoors, and the selection isa mix of traditional 20th-century entertainment and modern, more extreme rides.
To start your daygently and to get your bearings, take a ride on the Giant Wheel, the tallFerris wheel. The Log Flume is another great option for those with youngchildren. Embark on the Alien Abduction ride, or the Airborne Shot, for anexperience that will get your heart pumping. Bumper cars, miniature golf andcarousels are great fun too.
Foodand drinks are available throughout the park from carnival vendors, and thereare children’s menus at all establishments.
Gillian’sWonderland Pier is located on the boardwalk in Ocean City, about 11 miles (18kilometers) south of Atlantic City. If you are traveling by car, there is pay parkingin the area, but spaces can be hard to find. Buses from Atlantic City alsoservice the area.
WonderlandPier is free to enter, but rides operate on a pay-as-you-go system. Purchasetickets in bulk to save money. You can get half-priced tickets during theannual Easter sale. There are height restrictions that exclude young children.
WonderlandPier is open daily and at nights throughout summer. For the rest of the year,there are reduced opening times and days check the schedule on the website in advance.
