If you ride share (Uber or Lyft) from the arena, make sure to go to an easily accessible meeting point after the event, as there is no where adjacent to the arena to meet a driver. Found it very difficult to get a ride, as several took the fare, then dropped us before getting there.
Old Town Sacramento is a tourist mecca for junk foods and homeless. The various 'historical' venues are expensive and the workers are bored. You pay for everything: parking garage, sidewalk meters and history that should be available to those who take the time ... BUT ... fees and meters cut you short.
Find your parking way ahead of event time and know the price goes way up for events.

The ONLY thing we didn’t like about the Golden one center was the prices of the drinks! Other than that it was great! Great venue close to hotels and restaurants!
