(165 reviews) We had a brilliant stay at Numa Hotel Hallen in Oslo. The location couldn’t be better - right in the heart of the city and housed in the former central Post Office, which makes the building itself a beautiful piece of history. One of the highlights is the old Postal Hall downstairs, now transformed into a lively series of bars and a fantastic pizza restaurant. It’s a great spot for all ages and adds a unique atmosphere to the hotel. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Oslo’s main attractions and shopping areas, so exploring the city was easy. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well laid out. Having a fridge and washing machine made a huge difference for convenience during our stay. The only minor drawback was the TV streaming service, which was a bit hit-and-miss. That said, we only used it briefly to catch the headlines while enjoying a coffee, so it didn’t affect our overall experience. (152 reviews) Truly like having an apartment in the city. We got tired long ago of going out to eat every afternoon and night. Here we prepped lunches and cooked dinners on most nights (we stayed for a week.) There was also a washer for our clothes (no dryer, but a drying rack and plenty of living-room space worked well). The only downside is that Oslo has no sound ordinances, and people rev no-muffler motorcycles throughout the night until 4am in the summer that would get them arrested in any other sane city.
