"The Hotel is really great! Our stay was perfect. The staff is really friendly and helpful, the room was huge and perfectly equipped. There are just a few rooms, so it is absolutely quiet.
During our stay there was a lot of seaweed at the sea, but this was no problem for us because we went with our rental car around the island.
We absolutely reconmend Dhevatara Beach Hotel!"

"Private butler can make a world of difference when you stay at the villas. In this case, Daniel, our butler was mega! You should ask for him when you make the booking, he really stood out when it came to personalized service! "

"The hotel is in a remote part of the island, so definitely great for a secluded, private experience. It does feel like a hostel though. On site restaurants close early and there is no room service provided overnight. Dor what it costs to stay in this place, the services leave you a bit vaunted. "

"Quaint hotel with great staff. Nice meals. Stunning sunsets from the front porch. Only discomfort we had was in the room at night - the air conditioner was rather noisy and the bedsheet too thin. So it was difficult to sleep through the night as the air conditioner was rattling away and it was cold. Turning it off made it too warm!"
"Amazing hotel I couldn't recommend highly enough. Great bar with incredible views. Possibly the best restaurant in the Seychelles, 3 courses all spot on. Great service as well, staff sort bikes and e bikes for you. Possibly the most expensive stay on la Digue but worth it. "

The best area to stay in Grand Anse is along Grand Anse Beach, which offers direct access to the island's longest beach.
This area is characterized by its expansive stretch of white sand and clear waters, making it ideal for relaxing beach days and water activities. Hotels and guesthouses are typically set back slightly from the shoreline, providing a tranquil environment while keeping the beach easily accessible. The main road, Grand Anse Road, runs parallel to the beach and connects various accommodations and local establishments.
For families, staying along Grand Anse Beach is an excellent choice. The calm, shallow waters near the shore are suitable for children to play, and many resorts offer amenities like swimming pools and family-friendly dining options. The convenience of having the beach just steps away means less travel time and more time enjoying the sand and sun.
Couples looking for a romantic and relaxing getaway will also appreciate Grand Anse Beach. The serene setting, beautiful sunsets, and opportunities for long walks along the shore create a peaceful atmosphere.
When is the best time to go to Grand Anse?
The best time to visit Grand Anse is during the shoulder seasons, specifically from April to May and October to November, when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.
During these months, the trade winds are calmer, leading to clearer waters ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. The temperatures are consistently warm, typically ranging from 24°C to 31°C (75°F to 88°F), without the heavier rainfall that can occur during the northwest monsoon season (December to March) or the stronger winds of the southeast trade wind season (June to September). This makes it a great time for couples looking for a tranquil beach vacation or families wanting to enjoy water activities without interruption.
For those interested in exploring the island beyond the beach, these shoulder seasons offer comfortable conditions for hiking and visiting attractions like the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its unique coco de mer palms.
