The stay was extremely good value for money. Beautiful views over Morecambe Bay. Staff v helpful and food in restaurant tasty. You pay to park at car park separately but its directly in front of hotel. Room clean but could do with some upgrading.

Great value for money. The view from the room was lovely, the bed was comfortable and clean. Shower was nice and warm. Plenty of tea/coffee provided. My meal in the bar was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is a very old coaching inn, and needs a little tlc in places (e.g, the corridors/stairs could do with a lick of paint) but this is reflected in the price. The room was nicely decorated and well presented. I enjoyed my stay & will happily stay again in the future.

The location is perfect with easy access & a car park at the back (payable) & also a tunnel going through to the promenade, perfect for a stroll. The view from the bay fronted room was stunning; highly recommended. The staff are all very hard working but courteous at all times & can't do enough for you. The food is good & reasonably priced. The poached eggs and mushrooms I had for breakfast was delicious! The place is in need of some TLC & refurbishment is clearly ongoing but my room was clean & comfortable & the small table & chairs in the bay window was just the job. Very reasonably priced; amenities are fairly basic but for a budget stay you can't go wrong at the Commidore.

I paid 3 weeks ago for a pet friendly hotel in Grange over sands. Got there had a pint and signed in . Then told it is only pet friendly in the bar, not the rooms. I have paid upfront and with insurance. I was told contact Xpedia and cancel. 4 pm on the day of the booking. 2 pensoners +dog with all my details (booking ref etc in the car half a mile away. Only upside is they had a DOG friendly pub in Ulverston , good job i only had 1 pint of weak beer. The Sun inn in Ulverston is good , the room was not luxurius but clean and functional at a good price. The Manager and his staff went out of there way to restore faith in the system to 2 weary pensioners.
