"We came looking for a camping spot for the solar eclipse. Our site was tucked away at the end of a huge field on a small peninsula with a running river nearby. The camping was amazing, the ground was nice and soft for our tents and we could build the campfire up with an endless supply of firewood. The stars were on full display as there wasnt much light pollution in this area. Taking a splash in the fast and cool river was a highlight. "My friends and I came away very pleased with our no-frills wilderness camping on Rod's property. He has the best view of the Huron Mtns I've seen, with a better perspective on the south faces than Pt Abbaye. They really lit up in the sun with peak color all over. We also loved his sweet dog Max, who quickly pivoted from intimidating bark at strangers to "dare you to try to take my stick" playfulness in seconds.I would go back in a heartbeat, but I did take off 1 star for listing accuracy only...

"This double yurt is in a private area of the farm that is accessible by car and has plenty of space inside to spread out and relax. The Finnish sauna by the pond is a must and the shower by the farmhouse, a short walk away, is a great addition. There is a BBQ for cooking but we did use our own little camp stove for morning coffee and toast. A great back to nature experience with a view across the fields. "

"We so much enjoyed our two night's stay at Rainey and Jeff's campground and can't wait to return. Upon arrival, Rainey showed us around the campground, led us to our adorably decorated yurt and invited us to join the campfire later that evening for gourmet smores.
