Floor was creaky in certain areas , basic furniture ,looked tired and worn if honest , shower was either stone cold or red hot could not get a decent in-between with was frustrating me. On arrival back bed not made up , empty milk carton removed and towel still in shower area on floor that I put down thinking room would be made up and refreshed , it wasn't ,but disappointing to come back to how I left it after being out all day , not the best view out of window, hence left curtains shut on my visit , but noisy at night time , must have been a pub nearby on Friday night , quite a bit of noise I heard. The location is perfect if you want to be super central and walking distance from the beach and attractions. The room itself was small but big enough to fit everything you need in it. Booked a single this time with no ensuite. Unfortunately the small room's radiator was stuck on high and the room was like a sauna despite opening the big french windows onto a balcony. It's a good basic hotel in a good location. Cleanliness ok. Room spotless and well appointed - strong newish power shower, tea and coffee and very comfortable bed. Not a place to stay if you want bar and lounge as reception room is spartan and used by the host. The pub on the prom is next door to take care of that side but any noise did not carry to the rooms.
