Back Pond Cottage is a wonderful place for family or friends to stay while experiencing all that Green Lake has to offer. Our family has enjoyed the warm and welcoming home that JoEllen has provided for a number of years, and we always look forward to returning. This year we were grateful for the kind return of a forgotten item. This lovely home is furnished with everything you might needfor a relaxing and comfortable stay. Its in-town location is very convenient, and the views from the porch and deck are scenic and peaceful. We could not ask for more.

We did not use Fireplace. It was good view but of inlet and not the lake. The house was very clean and had great amenities. The only draw back was the trundel bed on the main floor. The matress was like sleeping in a hot dog bun. The pull out bed in the same room wasn't comfortable.Our group enjoyed our stay.

Great house! Great location! Very clean!

Had a great week on Green Lake. This house is ideal location to town. Teens can walk and get an ice cream, fishing things, snacks, etc. House had everything you would need. Front screened in porch was great because the mosquitos do get quite bad at night. Would definitely recommend and we can’t wait to come back!

A Perfect Retreat and Family Place

We so enjoyed our time there. We have a couple special needs people as well as older adults and there were spaces for everyone to connect and spaces to go for small groups and spaces to be alone, as well as the wonderful area activities around Green Lake.

Wonderful Stay!

We loved our stay in Green Lake! The house was beautiful and just what we needed for a fun, relaxing girls trip. The property was beyond belief....this was by far the best maintained property we have ever stayed at. And we have stayed at many from AZ to Northwoods of WI and this a must-book gem. The deck looks brand new, windows, screens, appliances all taken care of by the owners which I believe leads to guests making the same effort (I broke a glass drinking tumbler and after my son couldn't find one on line to replace it we simply informed the hosts and received a simple but heartfelt "thanks" for letting us know. It's what makes this home like you want to treat it like it's your own. Beautiful accommodations and plenty of room for many more (we were a family of 6 adults a 3-year old) and there were still ample sleeping accommodations for even more. Excellent Stay at Back Pond Cottage Guest House!

We just enjoyed a 5 day stay at this beautiful home! Back Pond Cottage easily accommodated our crew of 10 people, ranging in ages from 7 years to the 70s. The home is within a block walk of Green Lake, the downtown shops and restaurants, and a 10 minute ride to multiple golf courses. Our host Jo Ellen is easy to work with, very friendly and responsive. We highly recommend BPC!

Perfect home in downtown Green Lake

Wonderful home and host. Had an issue regarding noise from a tree being cut down during our stay however JoEllen resolved it to our satisfaction. It was a little buggy at night which is to be expected being near a pond. House well stocked and thoughtful welcome gifts. Fire pit on deck was very nice as well. Very close to town which is very quaint.

Wonderful Home

We have enjoyed staying at Back Pond Cottage several times, and it continues to provide a wonderful setting for our multi-generational family of ten to be together while enjoying the beauty of Green Lake. JoEllen's lovely home is very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The great room with a cozy fireplace and the deck with firepit are great for group gathering, yet there are spaces for quiet moments or games as well. The home is furnished with anything you might need for an enjoyable stay. JoEllen is a great host, and we appreciate the updates she has made each year. We all look forward to returning next year.

Wonderful!

Our family of ten very much enjoyed our weekend at Back Pond Cottage. We have been here several times now and always look forward to returning for a great time together at JoEllen's lovely home that is perfect for our family. We especially enjoyed the great room, a wonderful place to gather and visit with its cozy fireplace and sunny windows with a view of the lake. The front porch and decks are great for morning coffee and evening relaxing. The updated kitchen is furnished with anything you could want for cooking, baking and grilling. The large table provides ample space for meals together, even a birthday celebration. Our grandchildren enjoy the board games and the yard. The quiet location is just a few minutes walk to town for restaurants, shopping, ice cream, and the marina. I think our grandson's comment sums it up perfectly, "It was fun but not long enough".

A Perfect Example of "The Good Life"

My siblings and I had a wonderful stay at this absolutely beautiful cottage. Meticulously maintained landscaping outside and thoughtful touches inside (creative welcome items, labels on the light switches & drawers, checkout list) made staying here comfortable (with everything we possibly needed) and reiterated just why this property has so many fabulous reviews. Tucked neatly back, it's proximity (walkability) to Downtown Green Lake and all it offers, is unbeatable. The highlight of this property was the large, well appointed deck with amazing sunset views of Green Lake. The smart and spacious layout of the home allowed for both large group gathering spots (the open kitchen/family/dining room) as well as cozy, private nooks for enjoying solitude. As a frequent visitor to Green Lake, I have long admired this property and it was wonderful to finally be able to stay and experience it firsthand. Thank you Jo Ellen for sharing your beautiful home with us. Our stay here was truly a taste of "The Good Life".
